These visits are offered as in office, in home or virtual visits through telehealth.

As IBCLCs we are trained in all forms of infant feeding and breast milk production. We fully support families who choose to bottle feed, exclusively pump or exclusively formula feed. We understand that these families often face similar feeding challenges to those families who choose to exclusively breastfeed. Visits for these issues *may* be able to be be billed to selected insurance plans (Aetna, BCBS, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare) or families may choose to cash pay for these services.

Even if you don't live in Houston, or if you cannot have an in-person visit, we can still help We offer virtual visits worldwide using our HIPAA compliant video conferencing system Spruce Health. We can help with everything from latch issues, to milk supply, to pumping, to oral restrictions (tongue tie), to back to work, to introducing solids and even weaning. Selected insurance plans accepted from Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS), Cigna and UnitedHealthcare. Visits are billed on an hourly basis and are scheduled for 1 hour.

TRICARE covers six (6) one-hour Lactation Visits. TRICARE clients will have a $14.98 coinsurance for each visit.. The initial visit is broken into 2 visits on 2 seperate days to allow for the necessary time to provide comprehensive support. Please make sure to book BOTH PARTS of the Initial Visit when scheduling. Both visits are REQUIRED to provide the level of care our clients have come to expect. We have 2 certified TRICARE East providers, but are not IN NETWORK Providers. We can only see TRICARE Prime members with a referral.

At nursing well checks we observe and examine the baby and parent; assess baby's feeding, growth and development; discuss topics specific to the baby's age and development and give anticipatory guidance and advice to parents. These visits sit in between your normal pediatrician visits. TRICARE covers six (6) one-hour Lactation Visits, which can be used for nursing well checks.. If you have used all your TRICARE visits, you can choose to self-pay for the nursing well check.
